Payment
I primarily work with Paypal, as I can invoice clients in a quick and reliable way. I ask for everything to be paid in CAD or USD, depending on where you are located. I always ask for a deposit of half up front, with the other to be paid once my work is completed to your satisfaction.
Tips are not mandatory, but they are very appreciated if you are able to.
Process Time
Most commissions will vary between 2 weeks to 1 month from order to delivery, depending on the complexity of the work and amount of commissions in the queue. If you require something within a limited time window or a rushed delivery, I am willing to work with that but fees may apply if there are lots of other projects on my list. Feel free to message and ask the status of your project at any time, I am more than happy to stay transparent.
Delivery
Upon completion of the commission, you will receive an email containing a folder with your finished work. This will include both a full resolution file as well as a more web friendly file alongside it.
Changes
You can request up to 3 rounds of detail changes in the early to mid stages of the work, as I will usually send you sketches and WIPS to clear up any errors. A fee will be added if you want something to be changed on the final piece (unless there is a mistake on my side!)
Usage
I reserve the right to display any commissioned work on my website and/or portfolio. You can ask to be tagged on social media, or remain anonymous. I reserve full copyrights to the image, it’s distribution and use (unless otherwise specified.) I will not profit further from the commissioned piece unless the customer breaks any terms.
The customer must not claim my work as theirs. I politely ask that I be tagged if it is uploaded to social media, or credited if used elsewhere. The customer must not use commissioned work of commercial or profit purposes (such as prints or redistribution).
The customer may use commissioned work for backgrounds, wallpapers, icon and physically print them for personal purposes (ie. to hang up in a room or workspace). Editing such as adding the customer’s watermarks, changing colors or drawing over the commissioned work before publishing it is prohibited.
Cancellations & Refunds
If for any reason I cannot work on your commission, you will be notified and given your deposit back via Paypal. Please do not request a Paypal chargeback, I will transfer your deposit back myself.
You are not allowed to refund the first half once I start working on their commission.
If you cancel before I’ve started on it, you can receive a full refund of the deposit.
If you request a Paypal chargeback after the finished commission is sent, you will lose all rights to the commissioned piece and I will have full rights to later profit from it. I will also submit records of completion to Paypal and blacklist you from commissioning me in the future.
