The MacEwan Game Development Club was a  turning point in my university endeavors. I joined it in 2018 on a whim and immediately fell in love with being able to use my artistic skills to help create a playable game. I became Executive Graphic Designer for the club the following year, and helped create both a new logo and plenty of graphic design until my graduation from the university.

We wanted GADEC’s logo to be evocative of Grant MacEwan university itself. The main building on campus has tall towers with angled roofs that are quite recognizable, so I used that as the basis for the logo. Using negative space, we kept the shape of the towers while using G and D, as they mirror each other nicely.
